We Bought a House!

Our January was pretty crazy. We spent all of November and the beginning of December house-hunting, and then when we got back after Christmas we had to close on our house and start moving.

Luckily, the kids had a bunch of new toys from Christmas to keep them entertained.

We also had to get the twins' tongue and lip ties clipped, and that kept us busy for a little while too.

These boys are always so fun and goofy, and were fine right after we got their mouths fixed.

Adam's sister Zoe came out to help with the kids while we moved, and we were finally able to get into our house!

Turns out buying a house means a lot of trips to Home Depot! The kids all love the carts there, enough that they fight over it!

Here's a couple random pics of the kids in the new house!

And at church in our new ward!

We tried to paint the whole upstairs before we moved in, but we weren't quite fast enough and still had some painting to go once we were living there. But we did get some good "before" pictures before we did anything.

Will's room was kind of a dark cream color, and there were tons of holes and nails in the walls, so we just wanted to paint it all.

You can see down the hallway here that the hall was also a dark cream and the twins' room was brown and pink.

We still haven't really been able to do anything with the downstairs, but here are some pictures for someday when we do!

Our packers in Texas wrapped everything in this paper (until they ran out and had none left for breakables...) and this was only about half of it.

We finally finished Will's room. He got light gray walls with one navy blue wall.

Henry and Charlie settled right into their new room and loved being back in their cribs. They had been in pack n plays while we were in Concord so we didn't have to build their cribs too many times.

 And some videos

Christmas in Utah

We were so excited to be able to go home this Christmas! Last Christmas we weren't able to because I wasn't allowed to travel that far while pregnant with the twins.

Since we're now living in California, it was also a much easier trip home, so that was a great bonus. Even though we would be in Utah on Christmas Day, we decided to do an early Christmas in California so we wouldn't have so many things to bring back and forth with us.

Will got this little trampoline and it was a big hit for all the boys!

It was the first time Henry and Charlie actually had presents of their own to open, so they got a kick out of it.

And then the next morning we were on our way!

Luckily, all the boys slept pretty well in the car. We didn't get up early to leave though, so we ended up getting to my parents' house pretty late that night.

We were able to make it to the Fullmer Christmas party and all the kids got to meet Santa Claus.

Will was okay after he warmed up a little bit, but the twins were more skeptical.

Henry especially.

We spent some good time with family, hanging out and relaxing.

And catching up on sleep.

We also went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point

and Adam took Will and Jordyn outside to build a snowman.

Will couldn't even remember snow after living in Texas, so Will had been counting down the days until we got to Utah so he could make a snowman.

A couple more pics of Will with his snowman

On Christmas Eve we had our traditional Stone Family dinner.

Somebody (ahem... Jordyn) let Charlie and Henry get into the good stuff.

After a delicious dinner we tried to grab a couple pictures of the kids in their cute outfits.

Then we all got to open our Christmas jammies. We were all in matching Disney pajamas this year since part of our Christmas would be a trip to Disneyland in February.

The twins went to bed, and the big kids got to stay up and read The Night Before Christmas and the story of Jesus' birth.

And then Christmas morning came!

The kids were pretty help with their stockings. I'm not sure why we got them anything else!

Papa passed the presents around like always, and we all got to take turns opening presents.

All of the kids were spoiled, as usual.

A little later Papa Great came by to see the kids and we all had a good visit.

After a morning with the Stones, we went to Mikki's house to do Christmas dinner with the Ainges.

We had a great time and Will was so pooped he just passed out, wearing his new firefighter costume and everything.

The next evening we got to go to dinner at The Pie (yum!) and Zoo Lights with Deena and Adam's siblings.

We also spent a day at the aquarium with Grandpa Mark and Coco

And a day at the children's museum at Thanksgiving Point with the Stone clan.

Charlie and Henry loooved the water table. But they got completely soaked and didn't have any other clothes to wear. Oops.

It was kind of a busy day there, but Will enjoyed it all!

We spent a good couple of weeks in Utah with our family, and then we had to head back to California and to work.

We miss our family and can't wait to come visit again!
