Riverwalk Lovin'

Apparently, from what everyone tells us, San Antonio is the coolest place in Texas, so we thought we'd take a weekend and give it a try.

Our first stop was the Alamo. We hadn't heard great things about it, so we weren't expecting much, but it was pretty cool. There wasn't too much inside the main building, but the grounds were beautiful and there was some cool stuff on display.

Will got pushed around the stroller most of the day, and he loved that. He is always a happy camper when we're out and about!

We tried to take the stroller down to the riverwalk, but it didn't really work out, so we took the stroller back and headed out again with the baby carrier.

Adam got a lot of gawking and staring, but we loved it! And Will liked hanging around on him too.

The riverwalk was beautiful! It's built down below all the buildings, and there are tons of trees so it stays shady and cool.

Unfortunately, it started pouring rain while we were down there so we went to Joe's Crab Shack to try and wait it out.

I know he looks cute, but Will was a monster that night!

As you can see, my boys were both pretty worn out.

Since we got rained out, we went back to the riverwalk the next morning to explore it a little more and see what we had missed.

There are lots of shops and restaurants, and it was so fun just to walk around.

Aw, look at my cute boys!

And how could we go to San Antonio without going to the top of the Tower of the Americas? So of course we went up there too.

It wasn't as cool as going to the Top of the Rock we did in NYC, but it was still pretty cool, and we could see the whole city.

All in all, we loved San Antonio and can't wait to go back!

Beach Babes

Texas summers are hot, hot, hot, so we stay cool hanging out at the beach and by the pool. Surfside Beach is only about 15 minutes away from us, so it's easy to head over whenever we have some free time. Will seems to love it. He just stares at the water and he loves squishing wet sand in his fingers and toes.

All the beaches in Texas are drive-on beaches, so it's easy to get a good set-up. A lot of people bring canopies and things and stay there all day. We just have a Sport-brella that we put up, and lay a mat and towels down under it for Will. It works great and is big enough for Will to hang out and sleep in the shade.

Poor baby napping with sand all over his face

William always tries to lay in the sand, so we decided we should just let him. Turns out it was a bad idea. He was doing okay until he got tired and started rubbing his eyes with sand. Bad parenting moment!

And I just had to share this picture because I think it's so cute. We took Will to the pool at our apartment and he was so pooped he just laid in Adam's arms. He didn't even try to pull off his hood or glasses. What a little cutie.
