Nine Months in November

Charlie and Henry turned nine months old in the middle of November. Man they are just turning into little boys so fast! Someone make it stop!

Henry weighed in at 20 lbs 6 oz and Charlie was 19 lbs 6 oz at their 9-month check. So crazy when I think about how little they were at birth!

They are seriously just the most adorable little boys.

Their little personalities are starting to show through and I am loving seeing the things that make them unique and different from each other.

Charlie is cheerful and it is always easy getting him to smile!

He is also full of hilarious faces. When he gets excited he likes to kick his feet and start bouncing and dancing around.

Henry is a little bit more straight-faced. He will smile, but you have to earn it.

He's also kind of competitive. He doesn't want Charlie to hit any milestones before him!

Really they are both competitive, and are always stealing things from each other (like food off of each others trays!)

They're getting pretty good at eating solid food, and don't like baby food very much. Especially the pouches. I don't know why, but they just do better with baby food on a spoon than out of the pouch. Even if we squeeze the pouch onto a spoon. Man they are picky.

Whenever they see someone else eating, they are all over it! Will is usually the last one finishing dinner, so they bug him and hope he will drop something. Babies are a lot like puppies :)

Both Henry and Charlie started pulling themselves up to stand right at 9 months. I wish they would just stay on the ground, they can't reach as much that way!

The twins are pretty good sleepers. They take two solid naps a day and sleep about 11 hours at night. The hardest thing is that they will sit and bug each other when they wake up or play instead of falling asleep. They are learning to sleep through each other crying though, so we love that!

We also had stake conference at the Oakland temple, so that was fun. We hadn't been to see the temple, so we were excited to go over there.

The power went out in the middle of the meeting (while I was nursing the babies in the basement, of course), so without lights or power, they let us out early. Woot woot!

This temple is cool because there are stairs that go up to a landing on top of the temple, so we took Will up there to check it out.

You can see all the way across the bay from there and see San Francisco. Pretty sweet.

We also had our first sick babies in November. That was less fun. It's so hard dealing with babies when they are throwing up! Especially when you're throwing up too...

And Adam was busy at work so he couldn't take off and take care of babies for me. So we mostly laid on the couch and cried and slept for two days.

And here are some random pics for your enjoyment!

Will loves making himself over with an app on my phone. He is so glamorous!

October

October was a month of adjustments for the Ainge family.

There was the move, off course, so we were a big mess.

We're in a new apartment and a new area, plus we are living in corporate housing, so we don't have all of our things.

All the rooms came furnished with queen beds and white linens. I can't tell you how many times Will has said to us, "My room is so weird!" lol.

Everyone was off schedule from moving across two time zones, so it took the kids a while to get back on a regular sleep schedule. And then the time changed so we had to adjust again.

To make it worse, there were a couple mix-ups with our stuff. Some of it was supposed to come to our apartment, and the rest was going into storage. Somehow almost all of it went into storage, so we were missing some key things (like a high chair).

The babies didn't seem to mind though!

Luckily, they are pretty happy guys for the most part.

Even though Will's toys ended up in storage, we made do. We tried out Amazon Pantry for the first time and the box was the boys' favorite toy for like two weeks!

Will loved riding in a rocket ship, and a firetruck, and a pirate ship...

We also worked on our tandem nursing. Lol! Will is so funny.

We had some good days and some rough days, but we're all back to normal and feeling better now!

Classic "Henry face"

We were finally able to get the rest of our stuff out of storage after almost 3 weeks, so Adam took the afternoon off work so we could go get it figured out.

While we were out, we thought we'd go check out our new city!

It was kind of chilly, but we loved going to see the bridge and driving over it.

We also had to drive down Lombard Street before they close it!

Random pic of my babies playing instead of sleeping
Pretty soon it was Halloween time. Adam and I are kind of party-poopers, but we try to do some fun things for Will.

For family home evening Will painted a pumpkin, and Adam hollowed one out for me to carve. It's supposed to be Mike Wazowski.

Will ended up with two costumes this year. He really wanted to be Iron Man, so we let him for a couple things, but we wanted him to be Buzz Lightyear to match the babies.

The hoods drove these Little Green Men crazy!

And once Will realized he had wings, he loved the Buzz costume!

We didn't have a great place to go trick-or-treating on Halloween night and didn't want to stay up late, so we just went around to the local businesses downtown and the mall.

And then we went to our ward party. We party pretty hard.

And a couple cute videos!
