Leaving Texas

So, we moved to California. Adam got an offer in September for a job in Pittsburg, and with being closer to family, living in a better climate, and not having to deal with Adam's company getting sold, it was too good an offer to refuse.

We only had about two weeks from the time we got the offer, so it was a really fast and crazy move. Before we left, we had to make sure to do all of our favorite things.

We made one last trip to the beach as the family, and Will and Adam also made a trip with the Scouts.

And we couldn't leave without feeding the giraffes one more time. We made a trip out with our friends Casie and Ashton and had a fun day. Will and Ashton had a great time playing and checking out the animals.

Somebody really wanted a good look at that giraffe!

We took the kids swimming in our pool for the last time before we got all our swimming stuff put away. We loved that Texas was warm enough to swim for so much of the year.

Adam was able to take Will to an Astros game with some work friends before we headed out, which they both loved.

The babies tried to steal all of Will's swag!

Our good friends also threw a little going away party for us, but of course I didn't get any pictures.

How to keep all the children out of the movers' way!
And then the day came, and we had to go. We had packers come and do most everything for us, which was nice and kind of a disaster at the same time. The next day, the movers came and got everything loaded up, and we headed out that afternoon.

Goodbye Texas, we'll miss you!
