We started with a short afternoon. We made it to North Houston before we had to stop for dinner. Good progress, right?
We tried to get hotels with an extra room so that Will and the twins wouldn't wake each other up. What really happened was Will partied all night watching Disney Jr. in a big bed all by himself.
Luckily, the kids were pretty good. We took some nice food breaks and they slept in the car.
We even got to stop at Rudy's one last time when we drove through Albuquerque. Man, we're gonna miss Texas barbecue!
Then Will decided to throw up said bbq all over the car. At least he gave me the iPad first. He and Charlie were sick all night...so that was fun.
The next day we made it to Utah. Yay for a break from driving!
We had a fun time riding ponies and checking out the dinosaurs at Thanksgiving Point. Will kept telling us how brave he was for riding a pony.
It was nice to get a little family time in on our way through, and take a much needed break from driving.
And then we were on our way again! But not without a quick stop for some McMuffins ;)
The rest of the drive was pretty boring. At least we got some seafood on the way!
Leaving Texas was kind of hard though. We only lived there for about a year and half, but we had gotten comfortable there and made some good friends. There were some things we really loved about living in a smaller town, and we are missing our ward already.
It was a really quick move; we found out and moved within two weeks, so it was pretty crazy. Adam's new company has been really good to take care of us though. They got us packers and movers, and put us up in some corporate housing until the end of the year. We are loving the bay area so far and go to San Francisco every time we get the chance.
